Understanding How to Create More Energy in Your Life

conscious leadership conscious living Jun 06, 2024

Have you ever considered that energy represents your life-force? It comes in many different shapes and forms, evolving through different stages. In its basic form, energy can be reactive, aggressive, impatient, or even selfish, embodying a ‘me first’ mindset. As it evolves, energy becomes healthier and more dynamic, embodying honesty, innovation, and the ability to inspire others. In its most evolved state, energy becomes a self-generating force within you, which you can consciously extend and use actively.

Feeling Your Energy

Energy is invisible to us. We can’t see it, but if you focus inward, you can notice it. We can all feel our energy levels within our bodies. For example, think about a time when you felt drained and reactive—maybe after a long, stressful day at work. Contrast that with a time when you felt expansive and dynamic, perhaps after a morning run or a productive meeting. Understanding what kind of energy we are generating is crucial. It’s like having a personal dynamo or engine that drives our actions. Without energy, we can’t do anything. With reactive energy, we might struggle to achieve our goals. However, with evolved energy, we can create the results we desire and generate more positive energy within ourselves.

Noticing Your Energy State

How do you notice what kind of energy you are in and embody? For instance, when I’m stressed about meeting a deadline, my energy becomes tense and reactive. I can feel it in my body—my shoulders tighten, my breathing becomes shallow, and my mind races. My responses to others become shorter and less thoughtful. People around me might react negatively, sensing my tension and impatience. This is a clear example of spending energy in a reactive way, which over time, can lead to burnout and strained relationships.

Understanding Balance

Balance represents how you create and maintain harmony in your life. It’s about generating your own energy and directing it with purpose, clarity, and intention. Think of balance as another dimension of energy. When you have balance, you will be able to:

  • Build strong relationships: Focus your attention and energy on your heart as your driving force to connect with others.
  • Being Authentic: Observe, assess, be sincere, and take others’ views into consideration.
  • Making Thoughtful Decisions: Make decisions from a quiet mind rather than a racing one..

When you are in touch with your balance, your energy calms down, allowing you to give and receive with ease and flow.  Understanding and managing your energy is crucial for creating a balanced and fulfilling life. By recognising the different forms of energy, feeling it within your body, and maintaining balance, you can nurture your life-force to achieve your goals and inspire others. Your energy is in fact a powerful tool which you can use consciously to create a life you love.
